I first want to apologize for not writing in a while. We’ve been so busy with having our yard sale this weekend that I didn’t have time to sit down at night. Well, the sale went very well actually. We sold almost everything and made $450! We ended up only taking 2-3 small boxes to goodwill after it was all over. I would definitely say it was a success. Not to mention, that I probably sweated-off about 4 lbs during the course of the day. It was SO HOT… HUMID HOT here in south Georgia! Abby even made a few dollars off her 25-cent toys.
This weekend, the landscapers came and surveyed the yard again and told us that they were going to start working on Wednesday. Woohoo! Oh, wait… Bogey needs a dog-pin! Never fear! The Home-Improvement King can whip-up something in a jiffy (especially since our contractor hasn’t taken his power tools off our back porch yet). There’s nothing an air-powered nail gun can’t handle… just check out what my dear hubby made!
I’m so proud! And doesn’t that look so much better than a metal dog-run? I THINK SO!
Look at these sweet girls playing so nicely together in their little coloring corner behind the sofa! Abby’s such a good big sister “reading” to Maggie…
I found a new recipe today on a blog I’ve been looking at recently, Applemint. I had all the ingredients and thought I’d give it a try tonight. They turned out beautiful, but I must’ve done something wrong, because the flavor was a little too strong on the cocoa side. I think they have potential, because they are very delicate and soft little cookies… maybe if I added more sugar? I don’t know. Anyway, they are Viennese Chocolate Sables: Here is the recipe for these little chocolate cookies.
