I stayed home from work today with Maggie because she wasn’t feeling well (after a trip to the emergency room last night to find out that she just needed to poop). While she napped this afternoon, I got some things done that I had been working on for a while. I finished 4 sets of my notecards and opened up my Etsy store… just as a test. They’re therapeutic to make and I love picking the patterns and threads and putting them together, so I hope other people love them as much as I do. Go check out my shop, Abadabba, for a better look at them…
Abby had her first swimming lesson tonight at the YMCA and after a rocky start, she “dove” right back in (no pun intended) and is doing great! I can’t wait ’til tomorrow when Maggie feels well enough to begin her Mommy-and-Me swimming classes as well!
I guess I’m back at work tomorrow, so no more crafting/sewing during the day for me. I am trying to decide what I’m going to take to the beach with me in a few weeks. Maybe I’ll work on a baby doll quilt like this or this, or maybe I’ll try my hand at some embroidery on a few dishtowels for my kitchen. Anyway, I’ll take lots of books and magazines and something to “keep my hands busy”! My Father-in-law bought a huge tent/dining canopy for us to put up on the beach this year, so we’ll have a safe place for the girls to play out of the sun. I’m anxious to see how Maggie likes the sand. She’ll probably eat it – like everything else (thus the tummy troubles).
